Former SAHA Coach Named AC with Hurricanes

Former South Alberta Hockey Academy (SAHA) coach Torrin White has been named an Assistant Coach with the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes.

A first round WHL pick, White played five seasons in the league with the Moose Jaw Warriors, tallying 110 points in 251 games. After his WHL career, he would play four U SPORTS seasons with the University of Lethbridge, recording 42 points in 88 games.

At the conclusion of his playing career White would join the Medicine Hat Tigers as a Team Consultant while working as an Assistant Coach with the SAHA U18 Prep team.

He would return as an Assistant Coach with the SAHA U18 Prep team for the following two seasons while joining the Warriors scouting staff. He would retain that role with the Warriors in 2023/24 while taking on the Head Coaching duties of the SAHA U17 Prep team.

This past season White was the GM and Head Coach of the Princeton Posse in the KIJHL. Princeton would finish the season first in the Bill Ohlhausen division with a 33-7-4 record for 70 points, one off the league lead.
